Qualification and skills most often required

Un baccalauréat en informatique, en informatique de gestion, en génie informatique, en génie logiciel ou en administration des affaires est demandé. Les personnes qui possèdent un diplôme universitaire de deuxième cycle sont recherchées dans certains domaines spécialisés. Un diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) en informatique, combiné avec plusieurs années d’expérience en programmation, peut aussi permettre d’accéder à la profession. La connaissance des progiciels intégrés de gestion de type ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), des logiciels d’infogérance et des langages de programmation (orientés objet) ainsi que des bases de données relationnelles est demandée. Des compétences liées à l’analyse fonctionnelle ou d’affaires, à Internet, à la sécurité informatique et au commerce électronique sont recherchées. Parmi les connaissances régulièrement demandées, on trouve les suivantes : infrastructures Microsoft (Windows XP, 2000 et 2003, Active Directory, DNS, MOM/SCOM, SQL, SMS/SCCM, CQUAL), Cisco, Unix/Linux, sécurité (ex. : VPN, SSL), BizTalk, Commerce Server, Java (Java JUnit, JavaDoc, JavaScript), PL/SQL, SQL Server, JSF, XML/XSL, HTML, VB.NET (Visual Basic .NET, C/C#, ASP.NET), Office SharePoint Server-MOSS, etc. Des aptitudes pour le service à la clientèle, la capacité de travailler en équipe, l’autonomie, la capacité de rédiger des rapports clairs et concis et de faire face à des situations stressantes, auxquelles s’ajoute un souci des résultats, sont nécessaires. D’autres compétences, connaissances techniques précises et expériences peuvent être exigées selon les besoins particuliers de l’entreprise. Étant donné la complexité des tâches, la demande de main-d’œuvre vise principalement les analystes et les consultantes ou consultants en informatique expérimentés. Les employeurs recherchent principalement des candidats ou des candidates ayant au moins trois ans d’expérience. Le bilinguisme est généralement demandé.

  • - Information systems business analysts and consultants confer with clients to identify and document requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security and service delivery.
  • - Systems security analysts confer with clients to identify and document requirements, assess physical and technical security risks to data, software and hardware, and develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches.
  • - Information systems quality assurance analysts develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products and information systems.
  • - Systems auditors conduct independent third-party reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products and information systems.
